At Bath Spa University, writing is our passion and our favorite topic of discussion. In our workshops, you'll connect with lifelong friends who share your enthusiasm for exploring a world of imagination, creativity, and experimentation through writing.
Our distinctive campus, nestled amidst nature and historic 18th-century grounds, provides an ideal setting for creative inspiration. You might delve into nature writing or craft poetry and stories inspired by climate change and environmental concerns. Today's creative writing spans diverse forms—from digital to print, collaborative to individual. Our extensive program covers prose fiction, young adult literature, flash fiction, poetry, screenwriting, playwriting, memoirs, and more.
No matter your writing interests, you'll find ways to pursue them here. We offer courses on graphic novels and comics, as well as live literature, creative entrepreneurship, and professional development to boost your career. You'll also get to work on creative projects alongside fellow students, both within and beyond our Creative Writing program.

Qualification Requirements
A Level - grades BBB-BCC including a Grade B in English or a related subject.
BTEC Extended Diploma grades from Distinction Distinction Merit (DDM) to Distinction Merit Merit (DMM) in any subject. Applicants will need to demonstrate a strong interest in Creative Writing in their personal statement and may be asked to provide a piece of their own creative writing.
T Levels grade Merit preferred in a relevant subject.
International Baccalaureate a minimum of 32 points are required with a minimum of grade 5 in English at Higher Level.
IELTS 6.0 - for visa nationals, with a minimum score of IELTS 5.5 in each element.
TOEFL iBT- A total of 72, to include a minimum 18 in Reading, 17 in Listening, 20 in Speaking, and 17 in Writing.
