Enhance your expertise to an expert level through our rigorous Masters program in Advanced Midwifery Practice. Available for study in Chelmsford or via remote learning. ARU boasts a proven history of pioneering midwifery education. Designed for practicing midwives seeking to elevate their clinical abilities and immediately integrate them into professional settings, our MSc in Advanced Midwifery Practice offers the perfect pathway.

As a graduate student, you'll master the art of evaluating women's specific requirements while learning to design, execute, and assess comprehensive care plans addressing the needs of mothers, infants, and families.

You'll develop the ability to identify and address factors impacting the physical, psychological, and social health of mothers and newborns while cultivating critical analytical skills. In response to growing concerns about increased medical interventions, you'll investigate strategies to support natural childbirth processes and provide specialized care for at-risk women with complex conditions, ultimately working to minimize unnecessary procedures.

Complementing this childbirth specialization, we provide diverse elective modules allowing deeper exploration of subjects like perinatal mental health, child protection, and advanced medication prescribing. For UK-based students opting for blended learning (combining on-campus and digital instruction), there's an opportunity to specialize in Newborn Infant Physical Examination (NIPE), earning supplementary certification as a qualified NIPE practitioner upon graduation.
