This three-year master's program is tailored for graduates seeking to acquire the expertise, competencies, and professional values required for registration as midwives with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). The course holds NMC accreditation.
Over half of the curriculum focuses on practical training. Students will collaborate with practicing midwives in both hospital and community settings, supporting expectant mothers and birthing individuals along with their families throughout pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum care.
Instruction is provided by seasoned midwifery professionals, healthcare specialists, and NHS experts. The comprehensive curriculum covers essential scientific foundations for midwifery, including maternal and newborn physiology, health education, ethical/legal considerations, and research methodologies. Students will experience diverse learning environments while developing skills for continuous professional development. The program strongly emphasizes reflective practice to bridge theoretical knowledge with clinical application.
