Become a versatile triple-threat performer skilled in singing, acting, and dancing through our BA (Hons) Musical Theatre program in Cambridge. At ARU, you'll train with working professionals, participate in productions from your first year, and gain practical industry experience.
Our BA (Hons) Musical Theatre degree develops specialized skills including actor-musicianship, physical theatre, dance, and choreography. Learn from experienced musical directors, artistic directors, and choreographers while training in professional facilities like our Mumford Theatre.
Cambridge's vibrant arts scene offers exceptional performance opportunities at renowned venues. You'll have the option to study abroad for a semester with available funding support. First-year students build core skills in ensemble singing, acting techniques, and ballet/jazz dance, leading to a debut production at Covent Garden Theatre.
Second-year students refine advanced techniques while preparing for a week-long book musical production at Mumford Theatre, alongside in-class performance evaluations.
Throughout the program, you'll collaborate with industry experts on three full-scale productions and a first-year showcase, building toward an impressive final-year performance. The curriculum includes advanced audition training, professional showreel development, and agent feedback sessions. Additional opportunities include joining our musical theatre choir and competing in professional singing competitions judged by industry leaders. The program fosters confidence, resilience, and exceptional teamwork abilities.
