The Bachelor of Nursing Pacific program aims to equip you with the skills to become a capable and self-assured registered nurse under the Nursing Council of New Zealand. As you progress through your studies, you'll blend insights into Pacific communities, cultural traditions, and nursing expertise to enhance health outcomes for Pacific populations, the broader Aotearoa New Zealand community, and international regions. For more than three decades, nursing has been a cornerstone program at Whitireia, earning a strong reputation for preparing graduates who are industry-ready and highly valued by employers.
Whitireia provides applicants with three Bachelor of Nursing degree options, each accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and meeting the Nursing Council of New Zealand's registration standards. These include the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing Māori, and Bachelor of Nursing Pacific.
Each program spans three years of full-time study, combining theoretical classroom instruction at our Porirua campus with hands-on clinical placements in diverse community and hospital environments.
Applicants must meet both the academic and suitability entry requirements.
