The Bachelor of Applied Management program equips ambitious individuals with practical business skills through a customizable curriculum. Students select from various specializations and optional courses, developing both general business competencies and expertise in their chosen field. The program's hands-on approach enhances graduate employability, supported by intimate class settings that foster personalized mentorship.‚Äã The adaptable course structure offers multiple specialization paths and diverse elective options, accommodating full-time or part-time study to balance personal and professional responsibilities. The first year features eight core modules establishing essential management foundations before specialization in subsequent years. Final-year students undertake Applied Work Integrated Learning (AWIL), gaining real-world experience through industry placements and research projects to boost career prospects post-graduation.

During the second year, learners complete three major-specific courses plus three additional modules that can either support a secondary specialization or reflect personal interests, alongside mandatory Applied Management and Research Methodology components.

Regardless of whether students pursue single or double majors, full-time participants can complete their studies within the standard three-year timeframe.

Qualification Requirements

  • Qualification equivalent to NCEA Level 3 or
  • Completed an appropriate overseas School qualification; or
  • Satisfied the criteria for entrance to a New Zealand University, or an equivalent qualification approved by the Programme Committee; or
  • Completed a year of study at an overseas Secondary School, and gained the equivalent of 60 credits at NCEA Level 2 across four subjects.

English Language Requirements

Candidates who have English as a second language are required to have an International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 6.0, with no individual band score lower than 5.5; or

  • TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT) score of 60 (with a writing score of 18)
  • TOEFL Paper-based Test (pBT) score of 550 (with an essay score of 5 TWE)
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic) score of 50 with no band score lower than 42
