Develop the ability to comprehend, evaluate, and address various psychological, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The PGDipClinPsyc equips you with the hands-on abilities and theoretical foundation required to qualify and work as a clinical psychologist.
Acquire proficiency in applying scientific approaches to clinical work while learning to blend empathy and consideration for others with outstanding professional practice.
This intensive three-year professional program combines clinical training with either a Master's or doctoral research thesis. Upon completion, you'll earn both a PGDipClinPsyc and a Master’s or PhD, qualifying you for roles as a clinical psychologist in healthcare, correctional facilities, or diverse community environments. Merging clinical and doctoral research training could also pave the way for an academic career.
The PGDipClinPsyc can be pursued concurrently with specialized Master's programs in Forensic Psychology or Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience. Your Master's thesis work begins during the first year of clinical training, though you'll need to consult with both program coordinators about these pathways beforehand.
