The Master of Philosophy is a one-year research-focused program where students conduct supervised research on a substantial and meaningful topic.
Psychology explores human and animal behavior and cognitive functions within their physical, social, and organizational contexts. As a behavioral science, it analyzes how actions are acquired and modified. As a social science, it examines individuals within family structures, organizations, communities, and cultural settings. As a biological science, it investigates sensory systems and the relationship between brain functions and behavior. As a cognitive science, it covers perception, attention, memory, reasoning, and language comprehension. Psychology also encompasses the study of development, personality, learning processes, and motivation.
This degree consists of a research project in the form of a thesis, dissertation, substantial research or creative work.
A recognised bachelors degree with a B/B+ average, and a B/B+ average in a relevant subject (if required).
Some faculties/schools require an honours degree (to demonstrate research capacity). Where the above requirements are not met, further study in a lower level programme may be required first.
English Language Requirements
