Psychology explores human and animal behavior along with mental processes within their physical, social, and organizational contexts. As a behavioral science, it investigates how actions are acquired and modified. From a social science perspective, it examines individuals within family systems, institutions, communities, and cultural frameworks. Its biological approach analyzes sensory functions and the relationship between neurological/physiological systems and behavior. As a cognitive discipline, it researches perception, focus, memory, reasoning, and language comprehension. Psychology also encompasses the study of human development, personality traits, learning mechanisms, and motivational factors.
