Designed for current healthcare practitioners and graduates with relevant bachelor's degrees seeking advanced education in health sciences. This Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science offers comprehensive coverage of diverse health disciplines. Students can opt for a general curriculum or focus on a specific specialization. The program requires one year of full-time commitment or can be completed part-time over four years. Choose either the general health sciences pathway or select from our available specializations. The PGDipHSc (Nuclear Medicine) specialization specifically prepares graduates for registration as Nuclear Medicine technologists in New Zealand, with admission limited to candidates securing clinical training positions in approved University of Auckland nuclear medicine departments.
You must have completed an undergraduate degree at a recognised university (or similar institution) in a health-related discipline such as health sciences, medicine, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, psychology, or social work. You will need a Grade Point Average (GPA) or Grade Point Equivalent (GPE) of at least 2.5.
IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
