Urban design concentrates on shaping the areas between structures that form our towns and cities. The MUrbDes program provides you with expertise to assess and create urban settings. Through hands-on studio projects, you'll address actual urban design challenges and scenarios, incorporating sustainable approaches, the significance of physical and social city infrastructures, and urban investment strategies. This program enables built environment professionals to cultivate specialized skills and understanding. It's designed for individuals holding professional qualifications in architecture, urban planning, or landscape architecture. Those with substantial experience in these areas may also qualify. The MUrbDes is a practice-oriented master's program where theoretical knowledge, research, and global professional insights inform your project work. The curriculum explores urban history, economic growth, Pacific urban development, property management, and urbanization trends in developing nations.
You must hold at least an undergraduate degree from a recognised university (or similar institution) in a related field, such as (but not limited to) planning, urban planning, architecture or landscape architecture.
You will need a GPE of 4.0.
IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
