The Master of Architecture (Professional) combined with Urban Design provides a solid foundation for modern architectural practice. Completing this dual qualification takes less time than pursuing both degrees individually, equipping you with the credentials needed for professional architecture while exploring the environmental, societal, and economic aspects of well-designed urban areas. The MArch(Prof)UrbDes program holds professional accreditation from the New Zealand Registered Architects Board (NZRAB), Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA), and the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA). Graduates of this program can begin their careers as architectural graduates working toward full licensure, or alternatively pursue roles as urban designers in either private firms or government agencies.
You must have completed an undergraduate degree in architecture, GPE of 4.0.
Other pathways to study: The University’s Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) degree programme is a suitable pathway into this combined masters programme.
