The MLitt serves as an alternative to a PhD for those who already hold a master's degree and wish to pursue a significant research endeavor. This program is available across most disciplines within the Faculty of Arts, pending approval and supervisor availability. You may choose to deepen your research in your current field or explore a completely new area. The MLitt can enhance various academic or professional pathways, particularly for those not pursuing doctoral studies. Entry requires a BA(Hons) or PGDipArts in Music with a minimum 5.0 GPA, with some research tracks demanding higher standards. Alternatively, applicants with a BA majoring in Music need a 5.0 GPA in at least 45 points above Stage II within their major.
