The MLitt is an alternative to the PhD if you already have a masters degree and want to complete a substantial research project. You can complete an MLitt in most subjects offered by the Faculty of Arts, subject to approval and availability of supervision. You can further your research interests in the same subject as your first masters degree, or undertake research in a new area. An MLitt could be useful for a range of academic or professional careers, especially if you don’t want to undertake doctoral study. You can study Logic and Computation as a postgraduate specialisation in either our Faculty of Arts or Faculty of Science programmes. Postgraduate study in Logic and Computation combines a strong core of advanced courses in Computer Science and Philosophy, alongside Linguistics, Logic and Computation and Mathematics to explore the development of computer languages.
You need to have completed a masters degree in any discipline from a recognised university (or similar institution) with a GPE of 4.0 or higher.
