The MLitt serves as an alternative to a PhD for those who already hold a master's degree and wish to pursue a significant research endeavor. This program is available across most disciplines within the Faculty of Arts, pending approval and supervisory availability. You may choose to deepen your research in your existing field of study or explore a completely new area. The MLitt can enhance various academic or professional pathways, particularly for those not pursuing doctoral studies. Entry requires a BA(Hons) or PGDipArts in Japanese with a minimum GPA of 5.0, or approval from the Head of School. Some research paths may have stricter criteria. Applicants must hold a BA with a Japanese major or equivalent approval, maintaining a 5.0 GPA in 75 points above Stage II, including 45 points within the major.
You need to have completed a masters degree in any discipline from a recognised university (or similar institution) with a GPE of 4.0 or higher.
