For those seeking a career in healthcare services, systems, clinical practice, or research, the Master of Health Sciences (MHSc) offers the perfect pathway. This program prepares graduates for leadership positions in healthcare delivery, systems, or research. Students can conduct their research within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences or at the University's Liggins Institute. The program offers both Taught (120 or 240 points) and Research Masters (120 or 240 points) options. Applicants with an undergraduate degree typically enroll in the 240-point program, while those with a 120-point postgraduate qualification may qualify for the shorter option. The MHSc develops specialized skills that create opportunities in targeted healthcare fields. While many graduates continue in their current health professions, the degree empowers them to pursue leadership roles. Please note that the University of Auckland does not facilitate graduate employment and cannot guarantee professional registration or job placement in New Zealand or elsewhere.
