At BDanceSt, you'll evolve as an educator, performer, choreographer, and researcher. Our acclaimed instructors will guide you in building leadership skills and collaborative abilities. The program emphasizes contemporary, cultural, and community dance, engaging with diverse dance styles and working across all age groups and skill levels. Through frequent teaching and performance experiences, you'll practice your skills while expanding your professional connections. Our Dance Studies program fosters a supportive community that celebrates each student's unique talents and heritage. New Zealand's dance sector seeks skilled performers, choreographers, educators, production experts, and directors. Alumni successfully establish ventures like dance studios, performance troupes, and event production firms. Others secure roles as dance educators (from preschool to high school levels) or creative production team members.
Secondary school qualifications
You need to have one of the following:
GCE ‘A’ Level requirements apply to ‘A’ Level qualifications examined by bodies such as AQA, OCR, Edexcel, WJEC, CCEA and Pearson Education Limited taken outside of New Zealand.
Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). For entry based on CIE you must first meet the University Entrance (UE) standard.
IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.0 and no bands below 5.5; Internet based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 80 and a written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 60 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE), Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 169 and no bands below 162; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of C-; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 50 and no PTE Communicative score below 42; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 80.
