A BABHSc combined degree lets you earn both a BA and BHSc faster than pursuing them individually. This program explores biological, social, and behavioral community factors, concentrating on health determinants, promotion strategies, disease prevention, healthcare systems, and policy. Discover how to implement fundamental health promotion and prevention concepts to address community health issues – while selecting from diverse humanities, social sciences, culture, and language courses. The BABHSc offers comprehensive non-clinical training for various health sector careers, including health education, community health services, counseling, and healthcare planning. Please note: The University of Auckland doesn't oversee graduate employment and cannot ensure professional registration or job opportunities in New Zealand or internationally.
First-year options include classical mythology and ancient history studies. Advanced coursework covers warfare, religion, Egyptian language, art, gender studies, political evolution, and daily life in antiquity. Opportunities exist to examine literary forms like epic poetry and drama, investigate Egyptian culture from non-European viewpoints, analyze Mediterranean archaeology, or study iconic historical figures. Language studies in Ancient Greek, Latin, or Hieroglyphics are available within the Classical Studies and Ancient History specialization.
