Our BABE(Hons) program equips you with essential skills to succeed in today's rapidly evolving global economy. This five-year course combines academic theory with hands-on experience, enabling you to enhance your technical expertise while developing versatile skills and analytical thinking crucial for addressing real-world challenges. You can pair any of our nine engineering disciplines with diverse subjects from humanities, social sciences, cultural studies, and languages. The distinctive competencies gained through BABE(Hons) will position you advantageously to capitalize on emerging opportunities across technological, societal, and business landscapes. All Engineering specializations are accredited by Engineering New Zealand, ensuring international recognition of your qualification.
The program offers variousMaori Studies options tailored to your aspirations and interests, coveringMaori language, media studies, cultural artifacts, historical perspectives, political systems, and traditional performing arts (kapa haka). You may selectMaori Studies as one of your two BA majors (double major), requiring completion of at least 120 points (eight courses) per major, including a minimum of 45 points (three courses) at Stage III level.
