This education program equips you with the skills to become a qualified early childhood educator. Upon completion, you'll be eligible to register as a teacher. Our alumni are highly sought after, with many motivated students securing employment after their practical placements.
Throughout your studies, you'll master the fundamentals of Te Whāriki, New Zealand's national early childhood curriculum. You'll expand your expertise in child growth and multicultural perspectives.
The program incorporates bi-cultural principles, allowing you to strengthen your comprehension of te ao Māori (the Māori worldview) and mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge systems).
The course includes hands-on experience at early childhood centers - we arrange these placements for you. Under the guidance of certified teachers, you'll build confidence in facilitating children's learning.
