Massey's Master of Science in Human Nutrition equips you with expertise to analyze and address contemporary challenges in nutritional science. This advanced program provides comprehensive insights into cutting-edge developments in human nutrition while honing your research capabilities. You'll explore the complex relationships between dietary patterns and wellbeing, examining various influencing factors. Conduct your research project at our campus laboratories, within community settings, or at your professional workplace - either as part of ongoing university studies or tailored to your specific academic interests. The program offers specialization options including public health nutrition, athletic nutrition, or metabolic nutrition studies. Designed for flexibility, the program accommodates busy schedules through intensive block teaching formats, allowing full-time or part-time study alongside other responsibilities. The learning approach blends independent study (supported by our Stream digital platform) with concentrated sessions (typically two full-day blocks for core subjects and two half-day sessions for electives). These intensive courses feature video-conferencing, enabling participation from either Palmerston North or Auckland campuses regardless of course location.
