The Master of Science (Research) program offers an excellent pathway to develop specialized research capabilities while investigating a scientific field through a year-long thesis project.
Students learn in a supportive, academic setting with options to pursue either the general Master of Science (Research) or specialize in disciplines including Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Food Science, Geospatial Science, Marine Science, Microbiology, or Molecular Genetics.
The second year concentrates on thesis work (120 credits), helping students master critical analysis while developing proficiency in research methodologies, data interpretation, scientific communication, and assessment. This research project allows students to delve into their chosen specialization under expert faculty guidance.
Our faculty members are dedicated educators focused on student achievement and maintain strong international research profiles. With intentionally limited class sizes, students enjoy greater access to instructors. The program emphasizes practical learning through field excursions and collaborative projects with industry partners, complementing classroom instruction.
