AUT provides one of the most extensive physiotherapy programs in the Southern Hemisphere. Our physiotherapy alumni are globally acknowledged for their expertise and innovative contributions to healthcare.

Physiotherapy professionals enhance individuals' wellbeing by addressing mobility challenges caused by age, injuries, illnesses, or environmental influences. In New Zealand, most physiotherapists operate in private practice, managing sports injuries, chronic pain, and spinal issues, while others work in hospitals and medical centers.

The Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) emphasizes hands-on training, incorporating approximately 1,000 clinical practice hours throughout the degree program.
