A podiatry education enhances your abilities and clinical judgment to practice as a podiatrist across both private and public healthcare settings. AUT stands as New Zealand's sole institution offering a dedicated podiatry degree program.

This field concentrates on preventing, diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating common lower limb and foot disorders. Graduates of AUT's podiatry program qualify to seek registration as podiatrists both in New Zealand and internationally.

The curriculum includes essential clinical rotations in hospitals, primary care facilities, private clinics, and AUT's on-site podiatry center. These practical experiences expose students to diverse patient cases while providing valuable professional connections. The program also offers access to specialized surgical facilities where students can train in performing minor procedures.
