This postgraduate program spans one year full-time or two years part-time, equipping graduates for careers in sports performance analysis with specializations in strength & conditioning, video analysis, and nutrition. The curriculum deepens knowledge of advanced sports performance analysis by examining current methodologies and developing innovative approaches.

Creative expertise in strength and conditioning for both team and individual sports. Proficiency in video analysis techniques to deliver feedback in strength training contexts. Mastery of nutritional strategies for elite athletic performance. Comprehension of psychological principles in sports and their practical application for performance enhancement. Ability to design integrated training regimens that merge sport-specific skills with conditioning demands for optimal athlete development. Awareness of contemporary research in speed sports. Competence in conducting and justifying lab/field-based human movement studies. Graduates will gain comprehensive knowledge of the physiological, psychological, and biomechanical foundations underlying performance in speed, endurance, team, and strength sports.
An undergraduate degree, 2.2 honours (Level 8 - National Qualifications Authority of Ireland) or higher, with preference given to applicants with related subjects such as health, sports science, physical education, nutrition, physiotherapy, anatomy or human biology. Relevant work experience in sport will also be advantageous.
Acceptable English Language qualifications include the following:
Matriculation examinations from European countries where English is presented as a subject and an acceptable level is achieved
Irish Leaving Certificate English –Ordinary Level Grade D or above
TOEFL – 580 (paper based) or 90 (internet based)
IELTS – Minimum score of 6.5 with no less than 6 in any one component.
English Test for English and Academic Purposes (ETAPP) – Grade C1
GCE ‘O’ level English Language/GCSE English Language – Grade C or above
Cambridge Assessment English –Certificate of Proficiency in English - Grade C / Certificate in Advanced English Grade C
GCE Examination Boards – Oxford Delegacy of Local Examinations – Grade C / Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate – School Certificate Pass 1-6 / University of London Entrance and School Examinations Council – School Certificate Pass 1-6
