This program familiarizes students with core discussions surrounding conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and economic and political development processes. A central aim is to equip students with an understanding of the intricacies involved in peacebuilding and development across various global contexts, preparing graduates to make meaningful professional contributions in these fields.
Through the MA or Graduate Diploma in Peace and Development Studies, learners analyze discussions on the roots and characteristics of conflict while studying different conflict resolution methods. The curriculum covers modern conflict scenarios and their responses, along with the links between peacebuilding and development (economic, political, and human). Recognizing that most humanitarian organizations now view peace, security, and development as interconnected priorities, this program adopts a comprehensive approach to post-conflict situations, giving graduates the expertise and competencies required for impactful work or advanced research in this domain.
