This curriculum aims to develop graduates capable of advancing Physiotherapy globally by cultivating skilled, thoughtful, and creative practitioners with specialized knowledge in evidence-based methods. Over four years, students will collaborate with peers at the University of Limerick, participate in diverse supervised clinical rotations, and benefit from the school's inclusive environment, recognized by its 2019 Athena Swan bronze award. The BSc Physiotherapy program holds accreditation from CORU, Ireland's official Physiotherapy registration authority.
The four-year Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy incorporates 31 weeks of clinical training during its final two years. The initial year establishes fundamentals in Anatomy and Physiology, behavioral communication, and Physiotherapy Practice basics. Subsequent years delve into specialized areas like cardiorespiratory therapy, neurological rehabilitation, and musculoskeletal treatments for all age groups, with research and evidence-based practice forming the program's foundational pillars.
