This honors program equips you with specialized knowledge and practical abilities to pursue a rewarding career in health, exercise, sports, and massage therapy. The curriculum combines hands-on training (including massage case studies, aquatic therapy, rehabilitation techniques, anatomical applications, functional evaluations, and fitness assessments) with theoretical studies in wellness promotion (covering wellbeing science, behavioral modification, and exercise prescription) and bodywork principles.
With a strong focus on community involvement, practical massage application, wellness instruction, and versatile skill development, the program helps you build professional confidence, life competencies, and expertise in health science communication. Upon completion, graduates earn a BSc Honors degree, achieve IMTA massage therapist certification, and may qualify for fitness instructor credentials in group classes, gym training, and personal coaching.
