This program targets individuals holding a Level 8 postgraduate IT degree who wish to advance to an MSc qualification. Designed as a distance-learning option, it accommodates working professionals and international students. Aligned with the University's Prior Learning Recognition Policy, the course acknowledges previous academic achievements. This initiative helps graduates gain credentials for careers in the ICT field.
Many participants have successfully balanced full-time jobs while completing this program.
This programme is available to students who have completed an accredited (subject to approval by the School of Engineering & Informatics), Level 8 (60 ECTS) postgraduate qualification in computer science or IT. This qualification can relate to academic programmes or accredited industry-sponsored qualifications. Potential candidates must have achieved the equivalent of a Second Class Honours, Grade 1 (2.1) (or better) in their postgraduate qualification.
English Language Requirements
IELTS: 6.5 overall, no less than 6.5 in writing and no less than 6 in any other one component; Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE): 176 overall; Cambridge C2 Advanced (CPE): 180 overall; TOEFL: 88 overall (12 Listening, 18 Speaking, 24 Writing, 13 Reading); Pearson PTE: 61 overall, no less than 61 in writing, and no less than 50 in any one other component.
