The Structured Master's is a full-time one-year program (or part-time over two years) aimed at allowing students to deepen their expertise in specific academic fields through advanced study and research. This program enables outstanding graduates to expand their understanding of their selected research domain while becoming acquainted with relevant research methods and ethical considerations.
Investigations in this field may cover diverse subjects within contemporary Spanish and Latin American literature, film, and cultural studies, as well as linguistic analysis, lexicography, or Spanish-English translation challenges.
Throughout the program, participants will complete 30 to 35 ECTS credits of coursework, including a mandatory research methods/integrity module (minimum 5 ECTS). Additional modules typically focus on discipline-specific content to enhance students' specialized knowledge. Each student's module selection will be determined in collaboration with their research advisor.
Second Class Honours NQAI Level 8 degree or equivalent (, with Second Class Honours, Grade 1 or equivalent in Spanish.
English Language Requirements
IELTS: 6.5 overall, no less than 5.5 in any one component; Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE): 176 overall; Cambridge C2 Advanced (CPE): 180 overall; TOEFL: 88 overall (7 Listening, 16 Speaking, 18 Writing, 8 Reading); Pearson PTE: 61 overall, no less than 48 in any one component.
