The program is designed to strengthen students' capacity to express how philosophical thinking can transform fundamental conceptual frameworks and address key ethical, social, and political challenges. By fostering critical engagement with modern philosophical discussions from both Analytic and Continental traditions, it highlights philosophy's practical applications in public life. Students examine core ideas and current debates while building skills in analysis and argumentation that are valuable across various professions and academic pursuits.
Rooted in philosophical heritage, our courses investigate how values, reasoning methods, and practical approaches shape personal, social, and political realities. The curriculum bridges historical insights with modern discourse, equipping graduates with adaptable analytical abilities for diverse career paths or advanced philosophical study. A unique aspect includes organizing an international graduate conference with peer review. Through the Philosophy of Children segment, participants may gain teaching experience in Irish schools.
This MA program views philosophy as actively engaged with today's world, aiming to sharpen graduates' abilities in questioning assumptions, evaluating arguments, and developing rigorous approaches to modern technology, governance systems, and reasoning structures.

Career Prospects
Graduates acquire versatile skills including research proficiency, critical analysis, effective communication, argument construction, and interpretive abilities—qualities sought after in consulting, administration, cultural institutions, nonprofits, public services, education, and media. The program also provides excellent groundwork for doctoral research in philosophy.
