The LLM in International Criminal Law equips students with comprehensive expertise in the evolution, frameworks, legal principles, and operations of international criminal tribunals and the International Criminal Court. Participants will acquire thorough knowledge of international criminal law, encompassing its core offenses, substantive regulations, and essential processes. The program also fosters critical analysis of how these legal mechanisms interact with alternative accountability approaches, including truth commissions. This LLM appeals to individuals passionate about exploring the expanding domain of international criminal justice, the ICC's global influence, and strategies for prosecuting acts of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes.

Qualification Requirements

Candidates must be approved by the School of Law. They should preferably hold a Level 8 degree in law or an interdisciplinary degree which includes a substantial law component and in which they have attained a minimum Second Class Honours, Grade 1 standard or its equivalent.

IELTS: 6.5 overall, no less than 5.5 in any one component; Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE): 176 overall; Cambridge C2 Advanced (CPE): 180 overall; TOEFL: 88 overall (7 Listening, 16 Speaking, 18 Writing, 8 Reading); Pearson PTE: 61 overall, no less than 48 in any one component.
