These opportunities, combined with our diverse course offerings, give graduates a competitive edge in the job market. Students can further specialize through our Professional Masters programs.
Cutting-edge resources: You'll have access to our advanced digital broadcast facility during your studies. Our accessible radio studio features a Studer digital console, where students master audio editing and news production using Adobe Audition and Burli systems. The campus houses Flirt FM, University of Galway's own radio station, where you can host your own program.
Our pioneering television studio, unique in Ireland, features 4K robotic cameras and Newtek infrastructure, complete with professional-grade equipment, Autoscript teleprompters, and chromakey technology. With capacity for 16 inputs and 8 outputs, students produce live broadcasts for web platforms, Facebook Live, and YouTube. The curriculum covers field reporting, mobile journalism, Adobe Premiere Pro training, live production, and collaborative TV program creation.
