DCU's Bachelor of Arts in Journalism stands as one of Ireland's premier programs, crafted to provide hands-on training in media reporting and writing across various platforms while delivering crucial insights into politics, law, ethics, and societal issues. Journalism demands rapid information processing, contextual understanding, and time-sensitive delivery. Our faculty includes active and veteran journalists who bring real-world expertise to help you cultivate essential industry skills. During your final year, you'll undertake an 8-week professional placement with a media outlet through DCU's INTRA program, applying your classroom knowledge in practical settings.
Admission requires at least an H4 grade in English. Prospective students should demonstrate enthusiasm for writing, reading, diverse media formats, and contemporary issues.
GCE A LEVELS
General Certificate in Education qualifications must meet one of the following requirements, in addition to any specific programme requirements.
