The BA in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies is a dynamic four-year program designed for students passionate about every facet of theatrical arts.
This internationally recognized course offers a distinctive blend of practical, theoretical, and historical approaches to performance. Students engage with diverse theatrical disciplines such as acting, directing, scriptwriting, and stagecraft, alongside specialized modules in Musical Theatre, Youth Theatre, and Arts Administration. The curriculum combines traditional lectures with hands-on learning through workshops, productions, and professional placements.
A standout aspect of the program is its focus on applied learning, featuring masterclasses with industry professionals, collaborations with theater companies, and third-year internship opportunities with arts organizations.

Students gain valuable experience through both onstage and backstage production roles
Minimum Grade H5 in two subjects and passes in four other subjects at O6/H7 level in the Leaving Certificate, including Irish, English, another language, and three other subjects recognised for entry purposes. No audition or portfolio required as part of the admissions process.
English Language Requirements
IELTS: 6.5 overall, no less than 5.5 in any one component; Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE): 176 overall; Cambridge C2 Advanced (CPE): 180 overall; TOEFL: 88 overall (7 Listening, 16 Speaking, 18 Writing, 8 Reading); Pearson PTE: 61 overall, no less than 48 in any one component.
