Global change encompasses large-scale transformations in interconnected socio-ecological systems, influenced by both climate-related and non-climate factors (including shifts in human societies). Grasping these complex, long-term alterations to our environment demands sophisticated scientific expertise in data collection, analysis, and forecasting. These insights should subsequently guide the interaction between scientific research and policy development.
This collaborative international MSc program in Global Change addresses these pressing global challenges, catering to graduates pursuing scientific careers in ecosystem studies or those seeking to influence environmental policy through research. Participants will study at University College Dublin (UCD) and Justus Liebig University (JLU) in Giessen, Germany, working directly with research teams engaged in ecosystem analysis and policy advisory projects.
