In 2011, the UCD School of Architecture, Planning & Environmental Policy marked its 100-year anniversary. As a pioneer in architectural education and professional training in Ireland, the School offers comprehensive undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs encompassing architecture, landscape architecture, and specialized fields like conservation, sustainability, urban design, and architectural theory.
The MArch program prepares students to tackle intricate design challenges in demanding environments. Combining studio work, scholarly writing, and hands-on experimentation, it fosters professional skills alongside research and analytical thinking. Students benefit from personalized instruction by faculty members who are both prominent practitioners and globally renowned researchers. Graduates gain qualifications to pursue architectural careers worldwide, engage in creative industries, or contribute to policy, consulting, and academic sectors. This unique program holds triple accreditation from Ireland's RIAI, the UK's RIBA, and maintains international recognition through the US-based NAAB certification.
