The MSc in Agricultural Extension and Innovation offers a flexible one-year full-time or two-year part-time program hosted at UCD, designed for individuals pursuing careers in advisory, consultancy, or educational roles across public, private, and non-governmental sectors.
This master's program provides graduates with essential skills to comprehend learning processes that drive change and development, enabling them to effectively support farmers in adopting innovative practices and technologies.
A part-time distance learning option spanning two years is also offered for professionals currently employed in the agri-food industry.

Applicants must hold the equivalent of a minimum Lower Second Class Honours Degree NFQ Level 8 or international equivalent in a range of academic qualifications including Agricultural Science Life Science and Business Degree programmes from a recognised higher education institution
Applications are welcome from people with work experience in government and nongovernmental organisations that provide rural extension services in agriculture environmental and community development
Applicants whose first language is not English must also demonstrate English language proficiency of IELTS 6.5 no band less than 6.0 in each element or equivalent

TOEFL IBT - iBT 90 no less than 21 in writing and at least 19 in every other section in the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL.
