Yet both in Ireland and internationally, this sector confronts significant obstacles related to environmental resources, ecological pressures, public health, and sustainable development. Our curriculum prepares learners with cutting-edge competencies to address these issues and thrive in technical and managerial positions within this expanding field.
The University of Galway delivers innovative course content spanning Food Systems, Nutrition & Technological Solutions, Agricultural Economics & Market Dynamics, Integrated Health Approaches, Agricultural Engineering, Digital Agriculture, and Geospatial Technologies among others. All applicants, whose first language is not English, or who have not been educated through the medium of the English language during their two most recent years of study, must present an English language qualification taken within two years of the start of the course. Suggested English language qualifications include IELTS, Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE), Cambridge C2 Advanced (CPE), TOEFL iBT/TOEFL iBT Home Edition, Pearson PTE and Duolingo.

IELTS: 6.5 overall, no less than 5.5 in any one component; Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE): 176 overall; Cambridge C2 Advanced (CPE): 180 overall; TOEFL: 88 overall (7 Listening, 16 Speaking, 18 Writing, 8 Reading); Pearson PTE: 61 overall, no less than 48 in any one component.
