The Graduate Diploma in Emergency Nursing (Pediatrics) is offered collaboratively by UCD's School of Nursing, Midwifery & Health Systems and Children's Health Ireland. This course is designed to expand and refine the emergency nurse's expertise, competencies, professional attitudes, and ethical principles. It will further develop your current capabilities in providing care for babies, children, and adolescents in pediatric emergency environments. The program strengthens specialized knowledge for nursing professionals in pediatric emergency departments, equipping them with diverse therapeutic techniques while improving their capacity to evaluate various care methodologies and evolving practices for treating young patients and their families in emergency scenarios.

Currently employed in an ED where children also attend
Other criteria include previous experience and evidence of ongoing professional development

If you are an RGN you must identify a PreceptorMentor in your own clinical site who has an RCN qualificationwho has completed a HigherGraduate Diploma in Paediatric Emergency Nursing

IELTS - An average score of 6.5 over all components and a minimum of 6.0 in each band.
TOEFL IBT - iBT 90 no less than 21 in writing and at least 19 in every other section in the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL.
