The Master of Science in Precision Medicine welcomes graduates in Life Sciences and Healthcare professionals with at least a 2H1 undergraduate degree. This 90-credit program offers a full-time, one-year option, along with the alternative of pursuing a 60-credit Graduate Diploma in Precision Medicine.

Genomics and precision medicine constitute an expanding field within science and healthcare. Deeper insights into how genetics, lifestyle, and environment influence individual health are growing increasingly vital in worldwide healthcare systems and biomedical research.

Equipping life scientists, biomedical researchers, and healthcare practitioners with diverse skills to interpret and apply data-centric methodologies is crucial for advancing this field. The curriculum covers core principles of clinical and translational research, diagnostic applications, biomarker discovery, and precision medicine implementations in oncology, pharmaceutical development, and infectious diseases. Foundational courses in translational bioinformatics and biostatistics have been incorporated to help students unfamiliar with these disciplines develop cross-functional abilities for analyzing precision medicine data and effectively sharing results across specialties.

Applicants should have successfully completed an undergraduate medical degree or primary degree programme minimum of a 2-1 honours or equivalent in a biological or chemical science This includes a BSc in Biotechnology Biochemistry Microbiology Genetics Neuroscience Physiology Pharmacology Medicinal Chemistry or an equivalent qualification

IELTS - An average score of 6.5 over all components and a minimum of 6.0 in each band.
TOEFL IBT - iBT 90 no less than 21 in writing and at least 19 in every other section in the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL.
