This field focuses on everyday people's history and traditions, examining how customs develop and function at a grassroots level. As an academic subject, Folklore (or ethnology) encompasses oral traditions, social customs, material artifacts, folk beliefs, and musical heritage. It analyzes how communities preserve memories and how culture operates as a shared experience.
