Following the official acknowledgment and regulation of veterinary nursing as a profession in Ireland, UCD introduced a comprehensive four-year honors BSc in Veterinary Nursing in 2009. This degree equips graduates with both strong theoretical knowledge and hands-on expertise, preparing them for successful careers as qualified veterinary nurses.
The program holds accreditation from both the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI) and the European accreditation organization ACOVENE.
