The BCL (Law with Irish) program enables undergraduate law students to take integrated Irish language modules tailored to legal studies and practice. This course provides the chance to earn a prestigious BCL degree while enhancing your Irish language proficiency specifically for legal contexts. Your Irish communication abilities will be strengthened through resources from a state-of-the-art multimedia language lab (An Teanglann) and specialized language training at Lrionad de Bhaldraithe.

Note: UCD's mini-Gaeltacht provides a distinctive opportunity. Students across disciplines, including law, can live and collaborate while using Irish.

O6 or H7 in English, Irish, a third language and three other recognised subjects
International A Level - At least three subjects at A Level Grade C or better and Grade C or better in the remaining subjects at GCSE a total of six distinct subjects required.
If you are -
presenting the Irish school leaving certificate you are required to have attained a H7 or O6 in English.
presenting other examinations through English you are required to have the opens in a new window specified equivalent.
IELTS - An average score of 6.5 over all components and a minimum of 6.0 in each band.
TOEFL IBT - iBT 90 no less than 21 in writing and at least 19 in every other section in the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL.
