The Neonatology Postgraduate Nursing Diploma/Masters program is provided by University College Cork's School of Nursing and Midwifery. This specialized track is part of the MSc/Postgraduate Nursing Diploma curriculum, tailored for nurses in neonatal care seeking advanced training. The program empowers participants to enhance their expertise in neonatal nursing while cultivating evidence-based practice implementation skills.
Structured with dedicated neonatal nursing coursework, practical competency modules, and interdisciplinary classes in research, ethics, and practice improvement, the Postgraduate Neonatology Nursing program incorporates blended learning methods (combining online instruction with in-person workshops).
This one-year academic program leads to a Postgraduate Diploma (60 credits), with an option to continue toward an MSc in Nursing (additional 30 credits) in the second year.
