The HDip Arts: Study of Religions offers an immersive program focused on religious studies. This course is ideal for graduates who haven't previously explored religious studies at degree level.
You'll choose modules from the undergraduate Religions and Global Diversity curriculum. The program provides research-based instruction covering diverse traditions including Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, and East Asian religions, along with academic methodologies for cross-cultural religious studies.
This Higher Diploma comprises 60 credits worth of modules selected from existing 2nd and 3rd year Arts courses in the discipline.
Throughout the year, you'll examine various religious traditions and analytical approaches through these modules (each worth 10 credits unless specified otherwise).
It is intended for those who already have a 3 or 4 year primary degree, preferably in the area of Arts or the Sciences, and who wish to study the subject Study of Religions intensively over one academic year.
The Higher Diploma in Arts is a conversion programme and applicants would not normally have studied the relevant subject to Honours Degree level previously.
