Health Innovation Hub Ireland, a collaborative government effort, functions via a partnership of four academic institutions. Trinity College Dublin (TCD) holds particular responsibility for creating educational programs aimed at fostering innovation within Ireland's healthcare sector. This Postgraduate Diploma is overseen by Prof Seamas Donnelly - Professor of Medicine and Director for Global Relations at Trinity College Dublin's School of Medicine, who also serves as HIHI Principal Investigator, as part of this initiative.

This one-year postgraduate diploma equips participants with a personalized innovation framework for leadership, preparing them to devise forward-thinking healthcare solutions and advance their professional growth.
The entry requirement for the course is at graduate level having achieved a minimum grade of 2:1 in their undergraduate degree. Prospective students will be graduates working in a health or health-related discipline with at least 3-4 years professional experience. Other applicants with relevant workplace experience and general suitability, with appropriate support from their health service employer may be considered.
