The one-year Development Practice program offers a blended theoretical and practical curriculum with interdisciplinary education across four foundational areas: health, natural, social, and management sciences. Thirteen mandatory academic courses deliver comprehensive instruction in these core disciplines, supplemented by advanced research training in design, methodology, and techniques - including cutting-edge quantitative, qualitative, and digital approaches. Students gain real-world experience through either professional placements or research projects, frequently with global development NGOs and international governmental bodies. This program prepares emerging development professionals with the expertise to execute and oversee holistic strategies for sustainable global development.
Trinity College Dublin's School of Natural Sciences oversees the degree, with faculty contributions from across the university alongside partnerships with top researchers and specialized national/international organizations.
