This year-long program concentrates on practical Climate Adaptation Engineering, creating well-rounded solutions that bridge engineering and applied sciences. Students will acquire diverse technical and hands-on abilities through core modules and a distinctive collaborative research project led by industry partners. With an engineering focus, this curriculum incorporates the UN's Sustainable Development Goals in both coursework and the industry-driven research component. The program enhances participants' expertise and innovative potential to promote climate adaptation via sustainable design approaches and efficient stewardship of assets in constructed and natural settings. Climate adaptation forms a fundamental aspect of tackling climate change effects in all industries. To successfully develop and implement comprehensive engineering approaches that aid societal climate adaptation, this interdisciplinary course also equips graduates with climate science and data analytics knowledge.
Applicants will be expected to have an Honours Bachelor’s degree at 2.1 or above, in a STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics), architecture, urban planning, or a related cognate discipline.
