Ireland's pioneering Environmental Sciences degree program has a proven track record, drawing students from various academic disciplines across Ireland and internationally. The curriculum features a range of instructional modules covering contemporary environmental topics, culminating in an intensive five-month research component. Students may alternatively choose to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Sciences, which includes just the coursework elements.
This program seeks to foster comprehensive knowledge of environmental science and its practical application to modern ecological challenges and sustainable management practices. It aims to equip students with critical thinking abilities and hands-on experience for conducting independent research, while also nurturing effective communication skills for organizing and presenting ideas through both written and spoken formats.
Postgraduate work in Trinity College Dublin is very academically challenging and as a result the University has high academic entry requirements. Applicants will need to hold at least a 2.1 honors degree from an Irish university or equivalent result from a university in another country; a fluent command of the English language. Display a high level of competence in the English language in one of the examination systems recognised by Trinity College Dublin.
